Welcome to the MAPC MetroCommon Digital Hub. By continuing to use this website, I understand and agree that I must abide by this privacy and information security policy, as well as usage requirements, currently in place and as may be implemented in the future. The information and content on this website are for information purposes only and should not be construed as legal, financial, professional, or any other type of advice or counsel.
At MAPC we attempt to protect your privacy to the maximum extent possible. However, because information that we receive through you may be subject to the Public Records Law, Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 66, Section 10, we cannot ensure absolute privacy. Information that you provide to us through this website may be made available to members of the public and/or law enforcement.
This website collects voluntary information from you through surveys, online forms, any emails sent to it, and comments posted on pages hosted by the MetroCommon Digital Hub. This information may include your: Name; email address; telephone number; your electronic responses to surveys; age, gender; place or origin; race/ethnicity; zip code; income bracket; highest level of education; and technical data such as your usage of the site; and, the browser you used. The Metro Digital Hub may use the information you provide in its social media, news media, and other public forums. However, your information will never be sold to any third party.
Additionally, the Metro Digital Hub collects your Internet Protocol Address ("IP") address," indefinitely, as well as information about the date and time of your visit, whether a file you have requested exists, and how many "bytes" of information were transmitted to you over the Web. We will not attempt to match any personally identifiable information that you provide to us with your IP address, unless there are reasonable grounds to believe that doing so would provide information that is relevant and material to a criminal investigation. The one exception is that when you fill out information in a form on the MetroCommon Digital Hub, we do receive your IP address along with this submission. We do not use this form-related IP address information unless it may be relevant and material to a criminal investigation.
The MetroCommon Digital Hub may collect information through the use of various technologies to enhance your experience on our sites. For example, we may store the IP address (which does not identify you as an individual) from which you access our sites, and other information used for website analytics and project monitoring and evaluation. We do not collect or track any personal information through these automated processes. The MetroCommon Digital Hub utilizes Google Analytics to gain knowledge as to common uses of the website. We strongly recommend that emails, comments and statements on social media sent by you to the MetroCommon Digital Hub not contain any personally identifiable information ("PII"). PII is any information that could reasonably be used to identify you. This information includes your name, address, telephone number, email address, Social Security Number, birth date, bank account information, credit card information, or any combination of information that could be used to identify you. Any PII that you choose to include in your communications with us may become a public record and/or available to law enforcement.

User Misuse of the MetroCommon Digital Hub
I understand that my interaction with the Metro Digital Hub must be used responsibly. The MetroCommon Digital Hub retains the right at all times to remove statements or comments that: Uses profanity or derogatory language that would disparage or belittle someone or something; uses language that is obscene in that it refers to a sexual body part, a term for or most closely associated with a sex act, or the availability for sex; language that is an expression of contempt, ridicule, or superiority of a race, religion, deity, ethnic heritage, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or political affiliation.
